Hey guys!
Soooo I realize it has been quite a while since I have posted anything to my blog, but due to being busy with school and life, I have not been able to find the time.
Okay, for the people that do read my blog I am so grateful for those who do support and read this.
Grant it, I have done a very poor job of staying up with it, but after school ends I am planning on updating it regularly!
OKAY, so with that being said, I have 34 days left in Singapore. 34! Now to me the time is just flying by. I feel like I don't have enough time to be emotional, or I am going to miss some important memories along the way.
For those of you who don't know, I am going to be graduating high school in about 4 weeks! And then me and my family are moving back the US [Wisconsin area.]
Needless to say it is going be to insane, with moving, grandparents flying in, graduation and all the other necessary things that must take place.
To be honest, Diabetes has pretty much taken a back seat the last 2 weeks. I have been so emotional and stuck in this rut of being stressed out due to this huge school assignment (which is over, THANK GOD), and surprisingly God in heaven must be looking down on me because during those 2 weeks my blood sugars were surprisingly okay. I also went to go have my A1C tested and it from 8.6 to 8.4 which isn't a HUGE improvement but it is declining so I was okay.
However, just in the last week, I have really been unmotivated and my BS have kind of been all over the place. I am usually better during school because of the structure, but the sweets and foods of parties and Easter holidays are catching up with me.
SO HERE are some tips to give those that are experiencing life-altering adjustments:
These are just some tips I have been learning, and I wanted to share them with you guys!
I am going for a blood draw at the end of May before I leave, so we'll access everything then. I am REALLY trying [despite the situation], to do everything I CAN control to improve my overall diabetes health.
Thanks guysss!

SO HERE are some tips to give those that are experiencing life-altering adjustments:
- DIET: try and take into control the things YOU can. I just mentioned how I've been really lazy on my diet and in taking a lot of sweets that make me feel sluggish and bloated and have undesired BS's.
me and three of my friends today made a decision to go on a NO sugar diet for 19 days, or til prom to maybe slim up. Last year I did this with my mom for 22 days (YES!) and I felt and looked amazing! It is surprising how the sugar and processed foods can drain you. - EXERCISE. This is something I stress to those that are experiencing life changing situations like me, about to move, transition to the US etc.
Now, I have been doing basketball workouts my new coach has been sending me, so I have some sort of schedule. Me and friends have formed a sort of running club and for about 6 weeks ran 5k up to 4x a week! My BS's were amazing and I felt great. I also try to lift about 4x a week, along with core workouts like taekwondo and Pilates. Being active is a very coping mechanism for me at this current time! - SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP. This last weekend I got about 32+ hours of sleep. Because I am pretty much done with school at this point, I try to sleep as early as possible, before 9pm. I notice I feel SO much better and am in better spirits during the next day!
- Be POSITIVE. This is something I seriously am struggling with right now. I actually fell into a deep depression/sullen state for about 2 weeks due to feeling emotional about a myriad of things. This caused my BS's to go quite haywire so I am definitely trying to do things that make me happy. I don't want to leave Singapore, and just remember being negative the whole time.
- MAKE MEMORIES. Do things for the LAST time, and mean it! Savor every little thing and make it count.
- BE FLEXIBLE. I realized that with packing, saying goodbyes, being emotional, flights and new time schedules, my BS's probably won't be super spot on. But, it is okay because I am completely closing a chapter of my life. I'd rather tie up everything here, then be all blood sugar Nazi on myself.
These are just some tips I have been learning, and I wanted to share them with you guys!
